One thing you might notice is the big "W" on the left side of his button-down shirt. It's the first thing I noticed when he walked on stage. Yes, that's a Washington Nationals "W" on the shirt of an L.A. rapper performing a show in Austin, Texas.
Ice Cube has worn Nationals gear before, as you can see from this video.
Say what you want about Ice Cube. You can say that he is the same man who, after acting in the horrible movie "Are We There Yet," (4.2/10 stars on IMDB) followed it up with the more horrible movie "Are We Done Yet" (2.8 stars). Well, whatever. The man made his contribution to gangsta rap (having, as he claimed "started this gangsta shit" but complaining about the poor quality of the "mothafucking thanks [he] get"), and, unable to collect as much money as he felt he deserved, decided to get that money through movies. The good thing is that he is spending that money on Nationals gear.
Who is Ice Cube's favorite player? My guess would have to be Dmitri Young. Having put on a little weight, and wearing a short afro on his large head, he looks a little like Da Meat Hook himself. If Nick Johnson beats out Young for the starting job, Cube will probably be a little upset for the three weeks that Nick Johnson stays healthy. I don't think that he would do anything to hurt him, however, because if he had that mentality Robert Fick would have a head full of 7.62x39 bullets for all the times that he replaced Da Meat Hook mid-game last year, providing the Nationals with shitty hitting in clutch situations.
